She is best known for her songs used for theme music, particularly the opening and ending themes of [Full Metal Panic!](https://anilist.co/anime/71/Full-Metal-Panic/staff). In addition to her vocal talents, Shimokawa can also play the piano. She's a former member of the girl group Checkicco.
